Accessories for the Yamaha XJ600N Diversion

Daily commuting and relaxed weekend rides both suit the Yamaha XJ600N Diversion. As a naked road bike, it benefits from accessories chosen around the journeys you actually make: wind protection becomes more useful on longer stretches, while riding position and rearward visibility matter through town. The right priorities depend on whether your Diversion spends most of its time in traffic or out on the open road.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XJ600N Diversion

• Screens: a practical addition when your riding includes motorway links or longer days away from town. A screen helps deflect airflow from your upper body, addressing one of the more noticeable aspects of covering distance on an unfaired bike such as the XJ600N.
• Handlebars: changing the bars can help tailor your riding position for the Diversion's mix of commuting and weekend use. A comfortable reach matters when you spend the morning negotiating traffic and then head onto winding roads, without keeping your shoulders or wrists strained.
• Mirrors: useful for setting up a clearer view behind you on everyday journeys. If your XJ600N regularly encounters junctions, merging traffic and lane changes, mirror positioning deserves attention so that your arms do not dominate the view when you look back.
• Crash bungs and bars: worth considering for a Diversion used throughout the week, with frequent parking and low-speed manoeuvres. They can help limit damage from a stationary or low-speed drop, whether you are moving the bike around a garage or parking in a confined space.

Choosing parts for your XJ600N Diversion's year

The XJ600N Diversion has changed over the years, so the 1991-1997 and 1998-2003 versions do not always take the same accessories. Screens, handlebars and crash protection are examples of parts that can differ between them. Choose your bike's year on this page to display only the accessories that fit your version.
