Accessories for the Yamaha XT660X

The Yamaha XT660X brings supermoto riding to everyday roads, from urban journeys to weekends spent linking bends. Its upright riding position makes the handlebar area and wind exposure worth considering when choosing accessories. A useful setup starts with how you ride: regular commuting places different demands on the bike from longer outings with stretches of faster road.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XT660X

• Protection parts: for an XT660X used around town, a low-speed spill is a practical concern. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover, making them a useful addition for daily riding rather than an off-road-focused modification.
• Handlebar accessories: hand position matters when making tight urban turns and moving between bends on country roads. This is the area to focus on when refining the riding position and control layout of an upright supermoto.
• Screens: a screen makes sense if reaching your favourite roads involves a motorway or dual carriageway. It redirects some of the airflow away from your upper body, helping make sustained faster riding more comfortable.
• Levers: stop-start journeys mean frequent braking and gear changes. Lever shape and reach influence how comfortably your fingers work the controls, so this is a worthwhile area to consider on a commuter XT660X.
• Number plate holders: a tidier rear end suits the XT660X's supermoto look. This is primarily a styling choice for riders who want a more compact appearance, rather than a change aimed at comfort over longer distances.

Choosing parts for your XT660X by year

The XT660X has changed over the years, so the 2004-2006 and 2007-2016 versions do not take all the same accessories. Protection parts, screens and bodywork accessories are examples where parts do not fit every year. Select your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your XT660X, rather than choosing by the model name alone.
