Accessories for YAMAHA YBR 125

Yamaha YBR 125 accessories for everyday riding

The Yamaha YBR 125 is a practical naked bike suited to commuting, getting around town and building confidence on two wheels. It also fits the bill for local trips along quieter roads. For this kind of riding, useful accessories focus on a clear view of surrounding traffic, a comfortable riding position and protection during everyday manoeuvres.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha YBR 125

• Mirrors: junctions and frequent lane changes make a useful rearward view important on the ride to work or college. Mirrors adjusted to suit your riding position help you see traffic behind the YBR without having to move your body each time you need a clearer view.
• Screens: worth considering when your commute extends beyond traffic lights and onto open roads. A screen can take some of the airflow off your upper body, which becomes more useful when you repeat the same exposed stretch every day or head out for a longer weekend ride.
• Protectors: a practical addition while you are learning low-speed control or regularly parking in tight spaces. They can help limit damage from a minor fall during everyday handling. For a YBR used around town, that is a more relevant concern than preparing the bike for track riding.
• Handlebars: hand position matters when a journey combines slow traffic, tight turns and stretches of open road. Handlebar accessories let you address this contact point with the bike, with the aim of keeping your everyday riding position comfortable rather than making it feel more suited to a sports bike.

For mainly urban journeys, rearward visibility and protection are sensible starting points. If your route includes a regular stretch of open road, a screen deserves a higher place on the list.
