Accessories for the Yamaha XMAX 125 Tech MAX

The Yamaha XMAX 125 Tech MAX (YP 125 R) suits everyday scooter use, from commuting across town to running errands and travelling between nearby areas. These journeys put the emphasis on keeping track of traffic, finding unfamiliar addresses and securing the scooter between rides. Your riding position matters too, particularly when the working week brings a mixture of short trips and longer stretches on the road.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XMAX 125 Tech MAX

• Mirrors: Busy junctions, merging traffic and frequent lane changes make a clear rearward view particularly valuable on an urban scooter. On the XMAX, the aim is to see behind you from your normal riding position, rather than having to shift around to find a useful view.
• Handlebar accessories: Commuting can mean repeated slow turns and traffic lights followed by a stretch of open road. Accessories in this area help tailor your contact with the scooter, with the position of your hands and arms a useful focus for everyday riding.
• Phone mounts: A practical addition when your XMAX takes you to changing destinations rather than along the same familiar route. A mount holds the phone for navigation, helping you follow directions around unfamiliar streets. Set the route before riding and stop before making adjustments.
• Security locks: Street parking outside work, shops or appointments makes security part of daily scooter ownership. Locks are particularly relevant when the XMAX spends time away from a garage, whether you are stopping briefly for an errand or leaving it for the working day.
• Protectors: Squeezing into a parking space or moving the scooter beside other bikes can expose it to minor scuffs. Protectors help shield the areas they cover, making them worth considering for an XMAX used for several stops and low-speed parking manoeuvres each day.
