Accessories for YAMAHA YZ 85 16 ZOLL

Accessories for the Yamaha YZ85 16 Zoll

The Yamaha YZ85 16 Zoll is a motocross bike, so its accessories need to make sense for dirt circuits and practice sessions rather than commuting. Repeated braking, changes of direction and riding over uneven ground put the emphasis on the rider's contact with the bike. Protection and well-functioning controls are therefore more relevant starting points than the equipment you would normally consider for a road bike.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha YZ85 16 Zoll

Not every accessory listed for this Yamaha has the same role in a motocross setup. It helps to separate parts aimed at protection and control from those that are less usual on a dirt circuit.

• Protectors: Track practice exposes a bike to knocks, scrapes and occasional falls. Protectors help shield the areas they cover from certain impacts, making them a practical consideration when you are repeating drills or working on cornering technique. The aim here is protection during off-road riding, rather than a cosmetic change.
• Levers: Braking into a turn and managing the bike through changing track conditions keep your hands busy. Levers form part of that direct connection with the YZ85, so their role is about operating the controls comfortably and consistently during practice. That matters more on this bike than changing the look of the handlebar area.
• Mirrors: These provide a rearward view, but they play a secondary role on a bike focused on dirt circuits. Unlike protection and control components, mirrors are not a usual starting point for a YZ85 16 Zoll motocross setup. Their inclusion on this page does not make them a priority for track practice.
