Accessories for YAMAHA YZ85

Yamaha YZ85 accessories for motocross riding

The Yamaha YZ85 is a motocross bike, so its accessories need to make sense on dirt tracks and during practice sessions. Protection, control at the levers and suspension behaviour matter more here than equipment for commuting. Preparing your YZ85 also means thinking about time spent off the track: cleaning away mud, checking it after a tumble and getting it ready for the next session.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha YZ85

• Protectors: Tumbles while practising corners and contact with the ground are part of dirt-track riding. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover, making them a practical consideration when you are building confidence or repeating technical sections on your YZ85.
• Levers: Braking into a loose corner and moving between seated and standing positions put the focus on your contact with the controls. Levers in good condition help keep those inputs precise; they are also worth checking after a fall during a practice session.
• Stands and supports: A support is useful in the paddock or workshop when the YZ85 is not being ridden. It helps keep the bike positioned for cleaning after a muddy session and for routine checks, especially when a day at the track involves maintenance breaks between sessions.
• Suspension: Ruts, repeated bumps and jump landings make suspension a central concern on a motocross bike. This category is relevant when you want to tailor how your YZ85 behaves to the tracks you ride, with particular attention to keeping the bike settled as the surface gets rougher.
