Accessories for the Yamaha YZF-R7

Winding roads and track days are natural territory for the Yamaha YZF-R7, but this sports bike can also handle the daily commute. That mix of uses shapes how you equip it. A road bike ridden throughout the week calls for a different balance from one reserved for the circuit, particularly when it comes to wind protection, contact with the controls and protecting exposed areas.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha YZF-R7

• Screens: Airflow matters on longer road journeys as well as on track. How you sit on the R7 makes a difference: riding along a motorway link puts you in a different position from tucking down over the tank on a circuit straight.
• Protectors: Worth considering whether your R7 spends its time commuting or doing track days. They can help limit damage to the areas they cover, addressing the risk of a stationary drop while parking as well as a slide on the circuit.
• Levers: An R7 used in town and on weekend rides asks different things of your hands. Lever shape affects how your fingers meet the controls, from repeated clutch use in traffic to operating the brake on the approach to a bend.
• Footpegs: Your feet are part of how you support yourself on a sports bike. On twisty roads and during track sessions, the pegs provide support as you move your body; on daily journeys, the resulting leg position also deserves attention.

Choosing parts for the 2022-2025 and 2026 R7

The Yamaha YZF-R7 has changed over the years, so the 2022-2025 versions need to be distinguished from the 2026 version. Parts such as mirrors, fairing components and handlebar parts do not necessarily fit both. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your R7, rather than assuming that every part suits every year.
