Puig Mirror Covers

When you remove the mirrors from a sports bike or a faired scooter, the base they were bolted to is left in view. Puig mirror covers hide that gap with a piece made for each model, almost always in black, and give the fairing a clean line again.

When they are fitted

The most common reason is track riding: on circuit you do not run mirrors and, besides the weight, they break in any fall. They are also taken off to fit other fairing mirrors of a different design, such as the Aileron units among Puig mirrors. To ride on the road you need approved mirrors, so the cover is for the track or for the time you fit others. If you want to see every type, they are all in motorcycle mirrors.

Which bike takes which cover

• Sports bikes: Yamaha YZF-R1, R3, R6, R7 and R9; Honda CBR500R, 600RR and 650; Kawasaki ZX-10R/RR; Suzuki GSX-R250, GSX-R1000 and GSX-8R; Triumph Daytona 660 and 675; Aprilia RS 457 and RS 660; BMW M/S 1000 RR; Ducati Panigale V2 and V4.
• Maxi-scooters: Yamaha TMAX 530 and 560, Honda Forza 750 and Kymco AK550 Premium. The TMAX also comes in blue, red and gold.
• Part numbers "for several models" from Honda and Kawasaki: the product page lists every bike covered.

If your indicators sit in the mirror

On many sports bikes the indicator is built into the mirror and is lost when you take it off. For that case there are covers with a Tab indicator, which keep the turn signal: there are versions for the S 1000 RR (2019-2024), the Panigale V2 and V4 (2018-2024), the ZX-10R and ZX-10RR, and for several Honda and Yamaha models. The Tab is one of the Puig turn signals and, like any indicator, has to be wired into the bike's electrics, so fitting it takes more work than a plain cover.
