- Rider contact: the front and rear thermoplastic elastomer pieces provide flexible zones to absorb possible impacts involving the rider.
- Impact absorption: the conical shape of the side wings helps absorb part of the impact in a fall.
- Compact width: the protectors do not extend beyond the handlebars.
- Ground contact: the protectors touch down after the footpegs.
