Puig Windshields

Puig windscreens are the accessory that made the Granollers brand known across Europe, and today they cover everything from a YZF-R125 to an R 1300 GS, a PCX or a Harley-Davidson Nightster. Puig does not design one screen per bike: it builds a set of ranges, each with its own height and shape, and adapts them to every model. Understanding those ranges is the quickest way to find yours.

How to read a Puig screen name

Puig always names its screens in the same order: type of part (screen, scooter windscreen or fairing), range, bike with its years, colour and part number. For example, the Touring screen for the 2025-2026 Yamaha Tracer 7 in light smoke is 22765H. The last letter of the part number gives the colour, and it is the fastest way to check you are getting the finish you want:

• W: clear.
• H: light smoke.
• F: dark smoke.
• N: black, and J: matt black.
• C: carbon look.
• A, R, T, V and G: blue, red, orange, green and yellow, mostly on Z-Racing and New Generation screens.

The number changes when the bike changes. The 2019-2022 YZF-R125 and the 2023-2026 one take different part numbers because the front end is different, so check the years carefully. If you save your bike to your garage, the bar above the list shows how many screens fit it and lets you view only those.

Puig ranges, from the sportiest to the most protective

Sports bikes: Racing, Z-Racing and R-Racer

These are track-style screens for faired bikes. Z-Racing screens have the double-bubble profile that leaves room for your helmet when you are tucked in, and they come in the widest choice of colours; R-Racer screens appear on recent superbikes and high-performance nakeds such as the M1000RR or the Speed Triple 1200 RR. Racing screens are made from 3 mm high-impact acrylic. To finish off the front end, Puig winglets come in the same tints.

Naked bikes: New Generation

New Generation is the Puig range for naked bikes and the one with the most part numbers, with models for the MT-07, Z650, GSX-8S or GSX-S1000. In Sport form it is a short screen that changes the look and takes some pressure off your chest; in Touring form it rises just enough to cover distance without hanging on to the bars. Bikes such as the Diavel also get adjustable versions. The plain Sport screens, on the other hand, are for faired and adventure bikes that want a more compact front than stock.

Touring: Touring and its variants

The Touring is the tall Puig screen and one of the best sellers on adventure and touring bikes such as the Tracer 7, Ténéré 700, NT1100 or R 1300 GS. It is made from 4 mm acrylic. The Touring with visor adds an adjustable deflector on the top edge to steer the air where it bothers you least, and some models also get a Touring Plus or an adjustable Touring.

Scooters: V-Tech Line, Trafic, Urban and City Touring

Puig has dedicated scooter ranges. V-Tech Line, in Sport or Touring form, covers recent models such as the PCX, NMAX, Super Dink or the electric SEAT MÓ and Silence S01. Trafic, Urban and City Touring fit a long list of Honda, Yamaha, Kymco, SYM and Piaggio scooters, and the Vespa GTS has its own GTS screen.

Custom and universal round-headlight screens

For customs, Puig makes Batwing SML screens in Sport or Touring form for the Sportster, Nightster or Rebel; fairings such as the Dark Night, Mirage or Anarchy; and High-Road screens for the Road Glide or Sport Glide. If you are after a universal screen, the Custom I and II, the America and the short Naked, Cockpit, Raptor or Windy screens are designed for bikes with a round headlight.

From 1960s fairings to today's screens

Puig started out in the 1960s making full glass-fibre fairings for Vespa and Derbi, and from 1969 it built the fairings for Derbi's "red bullet" racers. In the 1990s it began exhibiting at international shows and exporting; in 1998 it gained KBA and TÜV approval, which opened up the German market, and in 2000 it brought a virtual wind tunnel into its design process. The factory is still in Granollers, near Barcelona, and screens remain the product most closely tied to the brand within the whole range of Puig accessories.

What goes with a Puig screen

Many screens are fixed with visible bolts, and swapping them for Puig anodised screen bolts in blue, red, gold, orange or green is a detail that suits the coloured tints. On adventure bikes, upper or front Puig deflectors add to the protection of a Touring screen, and a clear headlight protector stops stones from damaging the lens.

If you are still unsure about the height or tint you need, our general motorcycle windscreens section explains it whatever the brand.
