Puig yoke protectors

Puig yoke protectors are adhesive covers for the top yoke, the part that joins the two fork legs just below the handlebars. It is always on show and takes more punishment than you might think: the key ring knocks against it around the ignition on every bend, gloves rub it and the sun dulls its finish. The protector hides those marks and changes the look of the cockpit.

Radikal, Xtreme or Naked

Each protector is cut to the shape of one model's top yoke, with openings for the ignition and the nuts, and comes in three lines: Radikal, in grey, red, blue and green (the latter for Kawasakis only); Xtreme, in carbon look; and Naked, in grey. To stop the edges lifting, degrease the yoke before sticking it on and hold off washing the bike for a while.

A range that also looks after older bikes

A good part of the range is for sports and naked bikes from the late 1990s and the 2000s that are still on the road: the 1999-2002 YZF-R6, the CBR900RR Fireblade, the SV650S, the 2003 GSX-R1000, the 2003 ZX-6R, the VFR800 or the FZ1. On a bike like that, it is the simplest way to hide a worn yoke without painting or replacing it. There are current models too, such as the CBR1000RR-R, CBR500R or GSX-S1000 Katana.

The same lines are available as a fuel cap cover, so you can match both parts, and to look after the dashboard screen as well, see the Puig dashboard protectors. More stickers and finishing touches from the brand are under Puig.
