SHAD Mounting Plates and Hardware

The SHAD mounting plates and hardware in this section are spare parts for top cases: the plate is the anchoring base of the case and the hardware is what holds it down. They are there to replace a cracked or bent plate, restock lost bolts or swap the base of a case you already own.

What is available

• Plates in three sizes: small (D1B29PAR), medium (D1B40PAR) and large, which comes with bolts (D1B591PA) or without them (D1B59PAR and D1B48GPR).
• A large aluminium plate (D1BTRPA), with a black version (D1BTRPA2).
• Universal hardware, in three part numbers (D1B40BOR, D1BABOR and D1B37BOR).

Finding the right part

These parts go with the case rather than the bike, so what matters is the plate your case carries: the part number of the one you are replacing is the best guide. If you have only lost or damaged the bolts, the hardware set is enough and the plate can stay. And if you are torn between two sizes, message us in the chat with your case model and we will check it for you.

Once fitted, check the tightness after the first few miles and now and then: vibration works the bolts loose on any luggage. The plate joins the rack fixed to the bike, which you will find under SHAD top case racks, and the case sits on top of it, such as the SHAD TOP cases. If it is a key you have lost, look at the lock and key kits, and to see the whole brand, go to SHAD.
