MIVV MK3 Exhausts

MIVV MK3 exhausts are the MIVV line closest to racing: a compact silencer whose look is inspired by Moto3 exhausts, developed by the brand from what it learned in the Moto3 and Moto2 world championships. The range is aimed at naked and sports bikes, from 125s up to 1000 cc superbikes, and a good share of its part numbers are designed for track riding.

Three finishes and one letter to tell them apart

The MK3 is made in stainless steel, in Black Moon black and in gloss carbon, with a protective mesh at the outlet. The last letter of the part number gives the finish: X for steel, B for black and C for carbon. H.078.SM3X, H.078.SM3B and H.078.SM3C, for instance, are the same MK3 for the 2021-2024 CB125R in its three versions. For the 2018-2022 Panigale V4 and Streetfighter V4 there is also a titanium and carbon MK3.

Road or track?

That is the first thing to check on an MK3. On many part numbers the product page states that it is not road-legal, and several are full systems that also replace the headers; some cannot be fitted to Euro 5+ bikes with the lambda sensor placed after the catalyst. Check the page for your bike to see which case applies. What a roadworthiness test looks at and why the dB killer matters is explained in our motorcycle exhausts guide.

MK3, GP Pro or X-M1

Many bikes can take all three. The MK3 has the most racing look and the largest number of track-only references; the GP Pro, also compact, becomes road-legal on many bikes once its catalyst is fitted; and the X-M1 goes for a conical shape.
