Accessories for the Honda CRF450RX

The Honda CRF450RX is an enduro bike built for riding off-road, where the ground can change quickly and low-speed control matters. Riders may also spend plenty of time standing on the pegs. That shapes what is worth fitting: protecting exposed areas and looking after the controls can matter more here than adding equipment aimed at long road journeys. The most useful accessories are often those that suit your usual terrain and the way you manage the bike between rides.

What riders usually fit to the Honda CRF450RX

For this bike, the choice is less about adding everything available and more about the demands of your regular routes. These accessory types each have a distinct role:

• Protection: rocks, ruts and narrow sections can bring parts of the bike close to the ground or other obstacles. Protectors are worth considering if your rides often include technical trails where knocks and scrapes are difficult to avoid.
• Levers: falls and awkward manoeuvres on loose ground can leave the controls exposed. Looking after the levers matters on a bike where precise use of the brake and clutch is part of negotiating difficult sections.
• Mirrors: on routes where you need to keep track of people approaching from behind, mirrors offer another way to check your surroundings. Their usefulness on the CRF450RX depends on where you ride rather than on everyday commuting needs.
• Stands and side stands: supporting the bike makes pauses, cleaning and post-ride checks easier. That can be particularly handy when a session ends with mud or dust to deal with before the next outing.
• Filters: dusty riding makes routine maintenance an important part of using an enduro bike. Having the appropriate filter for your CRF450RX helps you keep on top of that work after repeated rides in dry conditions.

Accessory brands represented here include Puig and Sprint Filter. Think about the ground you ride most often, and what needs attention when you get home, before deciding which parts are most relevant.
