Accessories for KAWASAKI VERSYS 1000

Kawasaki Versys 1000 accessories for road touring

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is a road-focused adventure tourer suited to winding weekend routes and longer journeys with a pillion. Those uses make wind protection, luggage and a comfortable riding position useful priorities when choosing accessories. If your bike also handles the daily commute, it makes sense to balance touring needs against the extra bulk you want to carry around town.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Versys 1000

• Screens: help manage airflow during motorway stretches between more interesting roads. For long days on the Versys 1000, screen height and your seated position matter together: the aim is useful wind protection without an awkward screen edge in your view of the road.
• Panniers: provide space for clothing and luggage on overnight trips, with extra carrying capacity particularly useful when travelling two-up. If touring alternates with urban riding, remember that side luggage adds width when navigating narrow gaps or parking spaces.
• Protectors and crash bars: offer additional protection in a stationary tip-over or low-speed fall. They are worth considering for a touring bike that may need to be manoeuvred with luggage on board, particularly around unfamiliar car parks and accommodation entrances.
• Handlebars and levers: give you scope to adjust hand position and control reach. A comfortable relationship between the bars and your seat matters when a day's ride combines steady motorway miles with frequent steering and braking on twisty roads.
• Footrests: affect foot support and leg position during long seated stretches. They deserve attention when refining your touring posture while retaining a secure, clearly defined place for your feet on winding routes.

Finding parts for your Versys 1000's year

The Versys 1000 has changed over the years, with 2012-2018, 2019-2020 and 2022-2024 versions. Parts such as indicators, protectors and number plate holders therefore do not necessarily fit every version. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit yours.
