Accessories for KAWASAKI Z1000SX

Kawasaki Z1000SX accessories for touring and twisty roads

The Kawasaki Z1000SX bridges sporty road riding and longer-distance touring. It suits a day on winding roads as well as a trip with several full days in the saddle, so useful accessories need to reflect both sides of its character. Wind protection, comfortable contact points and protection during everyday manoeuvres are sensible priorities when deciding how to equip yours.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Z1000SX

• Screens: help take wind pressure off your upper body during motorway stretches and longer road journeys. For a Z1000SX used for touring, the coverage a screen provides in your normal riding position matters more than simply changing the bike’s appearance.
• Levers: braking and clutch control feature heavily in both urban traffic and a flowing sequence of bends. These contact points deserve attention on a sports tourer, particularly when your riding switches between short commutes and hours spent on the road.
• Footrests: support your feet during relaxed touring and more active riding on twisty roads. On the Z1000SX, that makes the balance between leg comfort and a secure footing worth considering, rather than treating footrests as a purely cosmetic addition.
• Crash bungs and bars: are intended to limit damage in a stationary drop or low-speed fall. They make sense for daily parking manoeuvres, and for touring riders who regularly stop and turn the bike around in unfamiliar places.
• Phone mounts: give your navigation phone a dedicated place on the bike. They suit the Z1000SX’s touring role, whether you are following a weekend route through the countryside or finding your way into an unfamiliar town at the end of the day.

Choosing parts for 2011-2016 and 2017-2019 models

The Kawasaki Z1000SX has changed over the years, so the 2011-2016 and 2017-2019 versions do not use all the same accessories. Parts such as footrests, mirrors and crash protection are not interchangeable across every year. Choose your bike’s year on this page to see only accessories that fit your Z1000SX.
