Accessories for the Kawasaki Z1000SX Tourer

The Kawasaki Z1000SX Tourer suits both longer touring trips and spirited rides on winding roads. Those two uses call for a balanced approach to accessories: wind protection and riding position matter over a full day, while the way you hold the controls and support your feet deserves attention on twistier routes.

What riders usually fit to the Kawasaki Z1000SX Tourer

• Screens: A useful starting point if your trips involve long motorway stretches. A screen helps deflect airflow away from your upper body, with its height and shape influencing how the wind reaches you in your usual riding position.
• Footpegs: Your footing matters when moving through bends, but leg position also becomes noticeable after several hours in the saddle. For this mix of touring and sporty road riding, both aspects deserve consideration when choosing replacement pegs.
• Brake and clutch levers: These change the surfaces your fingers work against. Lever shape is worth considering on days that combine open roads, tighter bends and town traffic, where the demands on your hands vary throughout the ride.
• Crash bobbins and bars: Designed to help limit contact between parts of the bike and the ground in a fall. They are a sensible consideration for touring use, particularly when trips involve repeated stops and parking manoeuvres in unfamiliar places.
• Phone mounts: Keep navigation directions in view when exploring a new route, rather than having to put your phone away after each stop. They suit the Tourer's travel role; set your destination before riding and stop before making changes.

Choosing parts for the 2011-2016 and 2017-2019 versions

The Z1000SX Tourer has changed over the years, so the 2011-2016 and 2017-2019 versions do not always take the same accessories. Footpegs, mirrors and crash protection are examples where parts do not fit every year. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your version.
