Accessories for the Yamaha XVS125 DragStar

The Yamaha XVS125 DragStar is a cruiser suited to everyday town journeys and unhurried rides on country roads. Choosing accessories means balancing its custom look with the way you actually spend time on the bike. Your riding position matters on a leisurely afternoon out, while wind protection becomes more relevant when those short local trips turn into longer rides.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XVS125 DragStar

• Handlebars: a way to tailor both your riding position and the look of the DragStar's front end. Where your hands sit is worth considering on a cruiser used for relaxed outings, particularly when you spend longer stretches in the saddle between stops.
• Mirrors: useful for keeping track of traffic through town and staying aware of vehicles behind on country roads. On the DragStar, they also contribute noticeably to the custom look, making them a visual change with a clear everyday purpose.
• Screens: worth prioritising when your rides regularly take you beyond urban streets. A screen can divert some of the airflow away from you, making wind protection a practical consideration for a DragStar used for weekend outings as well as short local journeys.
• Protectors: help limit damage from minor knocks to the areas they cover. They make particular sense when your cruiser doubles as daily transport, with regular parking and low-speed manoeuvres in tight spaces rather than occasional use on quiet weekend rides.

Choosing for your DragStar's year

The Yamaha XVS125 DragStar has changed over the years, with 2000-2008 and 2009-2023 versions distinguished here. Parts do not necessarily fit both versions, so the model name alone is not enough. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your DragStar.
