Accessories for the Yamaha XVS1300A Midnight Star

The Yamaha XVS1300A Midnight Star is a cruiser suited to leisurely rides and days out on the road. When choosing accessories, start with your riding position, wind exposure and view of following traffic. If you also use it around town, protection during parking manoeuvres is worth considering alongside comfort on longer outings.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XVS1300A Midnight Star

• Handlebars: on a cruiser like the Midnight Star, handlebar shape affects your reach to the controls and the position of your arms and shoulders. For longer road rides, a comfortable reach matters more than achieving a particular look at the expense of a relaxed posture.
• Mirrors: town riding calls for a clear view of traffic approaching from behind, rather than a reflection dominated by your arms. On this Yamaha, mirror positioning deserves particular attention if you change the handlebars and move your hands into a different riding position.
• Protectors: these can help limit damage if the bike tips over while being parked or moved around a garage. They make sense for a Midnight Star used for everyday journeys as well as weekend rides, especially when tight parking spaces are part of the routine.
• Screens: a screen helps deflect airflow away from your upper body when a short cruise turns into a longer road trip. It is particularly relevant if your usual rides include sustained stretches on open roads rather than mostly low-speed journeys around town.
