Accessories for the Yamaha XVS650 Drag Star Classic

The Yamaha XVS650 Drag Star Classic is a cruiser suited to unhurried road rides and weekend outings. Its custom style leaves room for personal touches, but riding posture and wind exposure are practical starting points when choosing accessories. If you also ride through town, a clear view behind you and protection against parking mishaps deserve attention too.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha XVS650 Drag Star Classic

• Handlebars: reach to the grips shapes how your arms and back feel on a leisurely ride. On the Drag Star Classic, handlebar shape is worth considering alongside appearance, particularly if your usual outings involve long stretches in the same seated position.
• Mirrors: useful rearward visibility matters when moving between open roads and town traffic. Positioning the mirrors to suit your cruiser riding posture helps keep your arms out of the view when checking behind before a lane change or pulling away.
• Screens: a screen helps redirect some of the airflow away from your upper body. It becomes a useful addition when short local outings turn into longer road rides, with more time spent exposed to the wind between stops.
• Protectors: these help limit damage to the areas they cover if the bike tips over while parked or being moved. They make practical sense for a cruiser used for relaxed outings with frequent stops, as well as everyday town riding.

Choosing parts for your Drag Star Classic's year

The Drag Star Classic has changed over the years, with versions covering 1998-2000, 2001 and 2002-2007. Handlebars are among the parts that differ most between the 2001 and 2002-2007 versions, so the same item will not necessarily fit them all. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your version.
