Accessories for the Yamaha YBR 250

The Yamaha YBR 250 is a naked bike suited to everyday commuting, trips around town and shorter road rides. For that kind of riding, useful accessories focus on your position on the bike, a clear view of surrounding traffic and protection against everyday mishaps. Rather than planning a sports-focused transformation, it makes sense to think about your regular journeys and where you park.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha YBR 250

• Handlebars: riding to work every day makes the reach to the controls an important part of comfort. A different handlebar can alter your riding position on the YBR 250, helping you work towards a posture that suits town traffic as well as the open-road section of your commute.
• Mirrors: urban journeys mean sharing the road with cars, buses and other motorcycles moving around you. Mirrors help you keep track of traffic behind before joining a road or changing lanes. Their positioning matters when you need to take regular rearward glances from your normal riding position.
• Protectors: frequent parking and low-speed manoeuvres make protection worth considering on a daily-use YBR 250. Protectors are intended to help limit damage to the areas they cover during mishaps such as a stationary topple, keeping the focus on the practical needs of a commuter bike.
• Exhausts: changing the exhaust offers a way to personalise this naked bike's appearance alongside more practical additions. That can appeal when your YBR 250 doubles as both weekday transport and a bike for weekend road rides, rather than being a project focused on sporting performance.

For mainly urban riding, start with riding position and rearward visibility. Protection becomes a stronger priority if your routine involves several parking stops each day.
