NZI Open Face Helmets

NZI open face helmets are the brand's largest family: more than a hundred versions across adult and kids' models, designed above all for the scooter and the city. From one model to the next, the visor, the equipment and the style change, and that is what we go through here, model by model, so you can get to yours quickly.

With a sun visor: Ringway 2 Duo and Rolling 4 Sun

The Ringway 2 Duo is one of the best-equipped NZI jet helmets: ECE 22.06 approved, with a shell in two sizes, an integrated sun visor, controls that are easy to use with gloves on and provision for a Bluetooth intercom, sold separately. It comes in black, matt black, white and matt anthracite, and in the Connected, Antera and Skyline Italy graphics, the last one in the colours of the Italian flag. Its predecessor, the Ringway Duo, is still in the range in matt blue and matt black.

The Rolling 4 Sun is the brand's classic-looking open face, with a Nugema® shell in two sizes and a sun visor you lower with a button. Its strength is choice: more than sixty versions, from plain black, white or matt metallic anthracite to graphics such as Mimetize, Skull 'N Roses, Los Angeles, Easy Rider, Italomade or Saferiders.

With a long visor: Magma

The Magma pairs lines inspired by classic helmets with a long visor that adds protection at the front, a good choice if you ride a scooter every day and want shelter from wind and cold. It is ECE 22.06 approved and made in nine plain colours: black, matt black, white, blue, matt anthracite, Nardo grey, matt sand, matt pink and matt green.

For riders who choose on looks

• Hopper: a modern design that keeps the feel of traditional jet helmets, with ECE 22.06 approval and a shell in two sizes. Graphics include Aeronautica, Duck, Libertad, Naval, Peter and Viva.
• Art: light, with a wide face opening, also 22.06 and with two shell sizes, in graphics such as Lovely, Milwaukee, Printemps or West and two dedicated to Vespa.
• Pasarela: the compact open face NZI created with Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada, with a Nugema shell and an antibacterial, removable lining. Its Corazón, Margaritas, Lunar and Constelación designs are among the brand's most popular helmets.

The family is completed by the Capital Vision Plus, with two shell sizes, and simpler models such as the Zeta 2 Optima, B-Cool 3 or Vintage 3.

For Vespas and classic-style scooters

On a Vespa, a Lambretta or any scooter with classic lines, a retro-style open face completes the look. The Art has two versions made with them in mind, the B-Vespa Turia in matt black and the Vespa Turia in white. The Magma in matt sand, matt green or matt pink and the Rolling 4 Sun in its Diana graphics, which pair two matt colours, sit well with the soft shades of many scooters, and the Hopper Naval, in white and matt red, is another classic-looking option.

For younger riders

The Helix and Single II kids' helmets share ten designs, from Rex and Triassic to Calaca or Lion, plus plain white and red, and both have a Nugema shell. The Bambino, ECE 22.06 approved, adds four more, named Boom, Dream, Happy and Kissy.

Before you order

On models made with two shells, such as the Ringway 2 Duo, Hopper or Art, the size you choose also decides how big the helmet is on the outside: worth bearing in mind if you plan to keep it under the scooter seat. NZI's size chart is on each product page.

If you often ride on main roads, compare them with the NZI full face helmets or the NZI modular helmets, which open up for the city. What an open face helmet protects and what it does not, plus jet helmets from other brands, is covered in our open face helmets; if you like the classic look of the Rolling 4 Sun or the Magma, see also the retro and cafe racer helmets, and for the rest of the brand, visit NZI.
