Puig Oil Filler Caps

The oil filler cap is a small part, but on many bikes it sits in plain view on the side of the engine. Puig oil filler caps replace it with an anodised aluminium one with a sporty design, in black, gold, silver, green, red or blue. It is a simple way to personalise the engine without touching anything else.

Track and Hi-Tech, the two lines

The Track caps are the majority and come in universal and model-specific versions for Kawasaki, Yamaha, BMW and Zontes, Aprilia, Triumph, KTM and Husqvarna. The Hi-Tech caps appear mostly as part numbers for Aprilia, Triumph, KTM and Husqvarna, plus one gold universal. Both are lightweight aluminium and use an Allen fixing screw.

Questions before you order

Will a universal one fit my bike?

Only if the thread matches. There are several universal part numbers and not all of them suit every engine, so compare the size on the product page with your original cap. If your bike has its own part number, that is the safest option: the list of compatible bikes is on each product page.

What is the anti-loss lock for?

On the track it is common to secure the cap with lockwire so that, if it works loose, you do not lose oil onto the tyre. According to Puig, these caps accept that lock, so you can have it ready if you plan to ride on track.

What should I check when fitting it?

Clean the thread, check that the seal is not flattened and screw it in without forcing it, because the thread in the engine is aluminium. After a few miles, check the oil level again and that nothing is seeping.

If you want to repeat the colour elsewhere on the bike, Puig anodised bolts and Puig frame caps are the natural complement. From the same maker you will also find levers, grips, bar ends and windscreens in Puig.
