Puig mirror thread cap

Once you take the original mirror off its mount, the thread is left exposed and the bars end up with an open hole. Puig mirror thread caps close that gap with an anodised aluminium piece in the colour you prefer.

When you need one

The most common reason is switching to bar-end Puig mirrors, which do not use that thread. It also happens if you fit fairing-mounted ones or ride on track without mirrors. Without a cap, the thread collects water and dirt and ends up rusting; with one, it stays protected for the day you want to go back to the stock mirror. If you have not chosen a system yet, our general motorcycle mirrors section covers every type.

Five part numbers, up to nine colours

• 21804 and 21808: universal, in all nine finishes.
• 21803: for several Ducati and Zontes models, in seven colours.
• 21805: for several BMW models, in nine.
• 22340: for the Vespa GTS 125 and GTS 300/Super (2023-2026) and the GTS 310 (2024-2026), in black and silver.

The last letter of the part number is the finish: 21804N is black, 21804R red and 21804L lilac. On Ducati, Zontes, BMW and Vespa it is best to pick the number made for that brand; for everything else, compare the thread of your original mirror with the one given on the universal product pages.

Fitting and matching

Screw the cap in by hand and tighten only until it seats: it is a decorative part and forcing it can damage the thread. For a coherent look, repeat the shade on your Puig bar ends and on the rest of the Puig accessories.
