Puig Sprocket Covers

The sprocket cover hides the engine's output sprocket and is one of the parts you notice most when looking at the bike from the side. Puig makes it in colour for the Yamaha TMAX and the Kymco AK550, and it is a simple way to change the look of the transmission area.

Which bike takes which one

• Yamaha TMAX 530 (2012-2019) and TMAX 560 (2020-2026): part number 8502, in seven colours: blue, lilac, black, gold, silver, red and titanium.
• Kymco AK550 (2017-2023) and AK550 Premium (2024-2026): part number 9547, in red only.

The last letter of the part number is the colour: 8502L is lilac and 8502Y titanium.

Choosing the colour

Think about what is already around it. If the wheel, the clutch cover or the sprocket trim ring already carry an accent, repeat it; if not, black and silver go almost unnoticed, while red, gold or lilac stand out. To finish the set on the bodywork, the T-MAX sticker kits come in blue, gold or yellow.

Being on the transmission, this area collects grease and road dust: clean it with the bike cold, using water and mild soap. If you are not practised at removing the stock cover, it is a short job for a workshop. The manufacturer's other parts are under Puig.
