Accessories for the Yamaha YZF-R1 RACE

Track riding puts the emphasis on how you sit, move and operate the controls. The Yamaha YZF-R1 RACE is a circuit-focused sports bike, so useful accessories centre on your contact points, protection for exposed parts and wind management when tucked in on a straight. Controls, footrests and screens therefore deserve particular attention when preparing for track days.

What riders usually fit to the Yamaha YZF-R1 RACE

• Protectors: Preparing an R1 for circuit use is not just about the riding position. Protectors help limit damage to the areas they cover in a scrape or fall, making protection a practical consideration alongside the parts you interact with while riding.
• Handlebars and levers: A forward-leaning riding position makes hand placement and access to the controls particularly important. These accessories address the area where you operate the brake and clutch, helping you work towards a setup that does not force your wrists into an awkward position.
• Footrests: Your feet provide support under braking and as you move across the bike through successive bends. On a sports bike such as the R1, footrests are part of the setup that determines how you position and support yourself while riding.
• Screens: When you tuck down on a straight, the screen helps direct airflow away from your upper body. This makes it particularly relevant for sessions on circuits with long straights, where wind exposure is a recurring part of each lap.
• Fasteners: Track preparation can involve removing and refitting parts between outings. Replacement fasteners support that work, whether you are reassembling the bike after maintenance or changing the accessory setup you use for your next circuit session.

Your YZF-R1 RACE model year matters

The YZF-R1 RACE has changed over the years, so the 2024 version and the 2025-2026 versions do not share every accessory. Parts such as mirrors and indicators are not necessarily suitable for all these years. Choose your bike's year on this page to see only the accessories that fit your machine.
