The black Puig Z-Racing screen for the Yamaha YZF-R1 (2020-2025) and YZF-R1 Race (2024-2026) is designed for the original fairing. Its sporty shape aims to improve aerodynamic protection and riding comfort.
The double-bubble profile directs air away from the helmet and upper body, while side channels guide it outwards to reduce pressure on the rider’s shoulders. Developed using virtual wind tunnel analysis, the Z-Racing range delivers an average aerodynamic improvement of 12.7% when riding upright and up to 61% in a racing position, compared with original screens.
