The smoked Puig Z-Racing screen for the Yamaha YZF-R1 (2020-2025) and YZF-R1 Race (2024-2026) is designed to give the rider more aerodynamic protection while retaining a sporty look. Its shape helps reduce air pressure during a ride.

The double-bubble profile redirects airflow away from the helmet and upper body, while two side channels guide it outwards to ease pressure on the shoulders. Across the Z-Racing range, Puig reports an average aerodynamic improvement of 12.7% in an upright position and up to 61% in a racing position compared with original screens.
