Puig R19 Frame Sliders

Puig R19 frame sliders are the brand's most widespread line: a compact cylindrical slider that barely shows and is made for almost any road bike, from an entry-level 125 to a superbike. If you want to protect the frame and fairing without the slider stealing the show, this is the most straightforward choice.

Nylon to slide, rubber to cushion

Each R19 combines two materials with different jobs. The nylon body is what meets the tarmac: it is hard and slippery, so the bike slides rather than digging in and tumbling. The rubber cap at the end soaks up the first part of the impact. That split also explains the shape: it stands out just enough for the slider to take the weight before any painted part when the bike is on its side.

Compared with the PRO 2.0, which is more eye-catching and has coloured rubbers, the R19 is all about discretion and blends into the lines of the bike.

From a 125 to a superbike

• 125s and A2 bikes: Ninja 125, MT-125, GSX-S125, CB300R, Ninja 500 and Z500, CBR500R or Aprilia RS 457.
• Mid-size nakeds and sports bikes: MT-07 and Tracer 7, Ninja 650, CB650R, CB750 Hornet, Z900, F 900 R or 790 and 890 Duke.
• Superbikes and big nakeds: S 1000 RR, M 1000 RR, GSX-R1000, CBR600RR, YZF-R6 or 1290 Super Duke.
• Recent and less common bikes: Ninja 7 Hybrid, the electric Ninja e-1, CFMOTO 800NK, Zontes 350R or Daytona 660.

A single part number can cover several bikes: 7064N, the line's best seller, fits the MT-07, Tracer 7 and YZF-R7. The other way round, many models have different versions per generation, such as the 2003-2006 Z1000 and Z750 against the 2007-2012 ones, so check the years in the name.

After a knock

After a fall, the nylon is usually scratched or the rubber marked. This section also has loose rubber caps and complete nylon-and-rubber sets, chosen by bolt size, M10 or M12, and by length, 50 or 85 mm; check which one your kit uses before ordering.
