The blue Puig Z-Racing screen for your 2009-2014 Yamaha YZF-R1 replaces the original fairing screen and gives the bike a sportier look. It is designed to improve rider comfort by reducing air pressure while riding.
Its double-bubble shape deflects airflow away from the helmet and upper body, while two side channels direct air outwards to ease pressure on the shoulders. Puig has assessed the design in a virtual wind tunnel. Across the Z-Racing range, the average aerodynamic improvement over original screens is 12.7% when riding upright, rising to as much as 61% in a racing position.
