SW-MOTECH upper engine guards for the BMW R1200GS from 2016 and R1250GS from 2018 are designed primarily to protect the bike’s bodywork. Their model-specific shape follows the bike’s lines for a precise fit.
The stainless steel retains its corrosion resistance even if the guards sustain surface damage. A bright, electropolished surface gives them a clean finish.
- Construction: 22 mm-diameter stainless steel tubing.
- Fitting: bolts to the original mounting points, with no need to drill or attach plates or clamps to the lower guards.
- Included: two upper guards, fitting instructions and mounting hardware.
- Colour: silver.

Installation requires original SW-MOTECH or BMW lower engine guards, which are not included. These upper guards are not compatible with BMW LED lights because they use the same mounting point.
