The SW-MOTECH ION footrest kit is made for the BMW R 1200 GS LC (2012-2018), R 1250 GS (2018-2024) and R 1300 GS (2023-2024). Its generous foot platform is designed for comfortable riding on the road and on unpaved routes.
The aluminium alloy joints allow the footrests to fold if the bike falls over. Removable rubber inserts help reduce vibration.
- Height adjustment: standard position or approximately 15 mm lower.
- Foot platform: approximately 8 × 5 cm per footrest.
- Grip: a textured, non-slip surface helps keep your feet secure off-road.
- Material: corrosion-resistant cast stainless steel footrests.
- Fitting: two model-specific hinged adaptors and fitting hardware are included; the bike’s original springs and pins are reused.
If you plan to ride on German roads, check that the ABE type approval stated for this kit covers your motorcycle.
